Tinder partners with Spotify, so now your dating profile is all about your “Anthem”
Online dating is evolving so fast that sometimes we can’t totally keep up with it. There are new apps all the time and constant updates to the ones we’re already using. As a dating app, we’re sure that it’s a constant fight to stay relevant in the changing dating landscape, and today, Tinder announced a new partnership that will definitely be a big change to the way we date.
Spotify announced today that it is partnering with Tinder to integrate music into your dating profile.
As Spotify announced today on their blog, they have now partnered with Tinder so that your music choices will be seamlessly integrated to your dating profile. This will allow you to find people on the app who share your taste in music.
The most prominent new feature is your “Anthem.”
According to Spotify’s blog, the Anthem is “one single track that tells your story.” The Anthem is meant to be that one song you’re obsessed with at that moment, that one song that’s stuck in your head, but we think that’s a lot of pressure to put on one song. However, we are VERY curious to see what everyone else is putting up as their anthem.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to have a Spotify account to use the feature.
Connecting your Spotify account to your Tinder profile is not mandatory, and you can still find and post an Anthem if your accounts aren’t connected or if you don’t use Spotify. This new feature is rolling out today in all Tinder markets that feature Spotify, so start brainstorming what song to pick as your Anthem.
