Some Tinder changes because yessss online dating

Buckle up, everybody because TINDER PLUS IS HERE! Okay, that might be an oversell of excitement but it’s Monday and we’re allowed to cling to whatever we want to get through the day, right? Right.

So, like I exclaimed earlier, Tinder Plus is launching today—the paid, premium version of the dating app that brought “swipe right” into our vernacular. According to sources, the app will be $9.99 a month, although prices vary depending on the market.

So what do you get when you upgrade? Two biggies, for the most part.

  1. A Rewind Button

Have you ever gotten into a zombie-like groove, swiping left so fast and furiously that you accidentally X out someone you think is cute? Well, rejoice because Tinder Plus offers a rewind/undo feature where you can go back on the very last person you swiped left on. I don’t know about you but at least once or twice I considered deleting my profile and starting over just to get a second look at the person I so hastily swiped left on. So, hallelujah for smartphone second chances.

  1. Location Changer

A subscription to Tinder Plus also gets you access to the ‘passport’ function, allowing you to check out people anywhere in the world instead of being anchored to your location.

Another feature that is a part of the hub-bub is that Tinder Plus lets you turn off ads; which let’s us assume ads will be coming to the free version of Tinder soon (oh, joy!)

My first thought when I heard about Tinder Plus was that it would be a nice way to maybe differentiate between those looking to just hook up and those who want a relationship. I also love the idea of being able to look in different cities because widening your scope never hurt nobody.

So would you pay to subscribe to Tinder Plus? The woman in the promo video seems to be having a great time with it.
