Beyoncé and Solange’s mom Tina Knowles has decided to take a break from social media after experiencing the not-so-great part of Instagram. While perusing a Beyoncé fan page, Tina accidentally liked a comment about her daughter’s Dream Girls costar, Jennifer Hudson, that wasn’t the nicest. And, unfortunately, once fans of the singer caught a whiff, the famous mom started to feel the backlash.
Ms. Tina apologized to Jennifer Hudson after for the mistake, and announced that she’d be taking a break from Instagram.
In typical Tina Knowles fashion, her announcement post is as thoughtful and beautiful as she is.
Following the mixup, Ms. Tina made a social media post explaining the situation, and we totally can see how it happened! Intentions get misconstrued on the web. And even our favorite celebs fall victim to the ugly side of social platforms.
Ms. Tina is known for being positive and supportive, so seeing her take the backlash so personal is a total upset.
Social media can be such a cruel place.
We’re definitely hoping that Tina decides to join us again on the web sooner than later.
