Tia Mowry has some promising news about a “Sister, Sister” revival
Let’s go back. Like way, way back. Back to the golden age of television, when Disney and Nickelodeon were all we needed. When hearing the words “sister, sister” brought us massive joy as we got to watch the adventures of Tia and Tamera Landry. While those days may be long gone, our love for Sister, Sister is not. And we have some good news for fans of the show, because Tia Mowry says that a Sister, Sister reunion season isn’t as far off as we may think.
In fact, Tia has been stirring the pot for a while — it’s just taking a little longer than expected.
In an interview with Nylon, Tia says,
"It’s not dead in any kind of way. We’re moving forward, we’re taking those strides. They’re slow strides, but we’re pushing as hard as we can to make people happy and make our fans happy.
We would be overjoyed to know that the show was coming back after its run in the mid- to late ’90s, especially after learning that it was based on the experiences of Tia and Tamera themselves. In the interview, Tia says they would sit down with the producers every year and tell them what was going on in their lives.
This is what inspired the producers, and what many of the episodes were about.
Although we’re not sure what the show would be about, we’re guessing it would follow Tia and Tamera as they navigate adulthood, motherhood, and sisterhood in the 21st-century.
We can’t wait for this to happen — and we’ll be crossing our fingers until it does!
