This throwback video of Drew Barrymore at her first Golden Globes is too cute for words

Last night, one of our favorite actresses totally wowed us on the Golden Globes red carpet. Drew Barrymore dazzled us in her Monique Lhuillier gown, which we thought was stunning and ethereal. Of course, this red carpet was not Drew’s first trip to the Golden Globes. In fact, she’s s been to the Golden Globes many times since she stepped on the scene in 1983 at the age of seven.

That year, Young Drew had just starred in the hit E.T., which ended up winning the Golden Globe in 1983 for Best Motion Picture Drama. But most exciting of all, Drew and her costar got a chance to be part of the show.

Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas explained how the Hollywood Foreign Press picks winners in the style of an adorable fairy tale.

How adorable are those two? During the Golden Globes, there’s always an explanation of the Hollywood Foreign Press and their system, which can get a little dull. What better way to jazz it up than with two adorable kids? Drew and Henry read a sweet fairy tale about “Hollywood Press-Land” and how they pick the winners. And the result is pretty cute. We can’t believe Drew was already in the limelight like this at such a young age, but she totally rocked it.

Drew wore an adorable pink gown to the awards, which made her look like a princess.

Those lovely ruffles and pink puffy sleeves are the stuff of our 7-year-old dreams. We don’t blame Drew for looking so giddy. We bet she had a blast!

And even though Drew’s style has grown up considerably since that first trip to the Globes, she still looks overjoyed to be there.

Though not nominated for an award this year, Drew was at the event to present and promote her new grisly Netflix comedy, Santa Clarita Diet. And everywhere she goes, her smile totally lights up the room. Drew has been owning the Golden Globes red carpet for 34 years, and she’s nowhere near stopping. We can’t wait to see how she rocks the Globes over the next three fabulous decades.
