All the thoughts we had watching the new “Suicide Squad” trailer
Suicide Squad doesn’t hit theaters until August, but promotion for the movie is already well underway, and has been for some time. We’ve seen movie posters, gotten sneak peeks behind the scenes, heard wild stories about Jared Leto’s Joker-esque antics on set, and watched many trailers. Here’s some more Suicide Squad news for your Monday: Another new trailer was just released last night at the MTV Movie Awards!
It’s so awesome to see our favorite anti-heroes in action. Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Enchantress, Killer Croc, El Diabo, Slipknot, Katana, and the Joker are even realer than we could have ever imagined. Feast your eyes on the new trailer and let’s tall talk about it, because we have a lot of thoughts.
1. Margot Robbie is beautiful and terrifying.
Like, look at her here in the beginning of the trailer. She’s still fairly unassuming at this point, but you can just tell there’s a lot going on behind those eyes. She was born to play Harley Quinn.
2. We can’t stop looking at Killer Croc.
Maybe it’s because he’s a reptile walking among the people, but we can’t stop looking at Killer Croc. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s portrayal of the villain manages to be equally human and animalistic—it’s creepy in the best way!
3. Jared Leto’s Joker still gives us the willies.
Knowing that he threw himself into the role as a total method actor makes it even more scary.
4. El Diablo is not messing around.
That makeup. Those fiery special effects. Jay Hernandez must have had his hands full as El Diablo.
5. Harley Quinn has her bat…
6. …and her giant mallet.
Superfans will be happy to see her wielding both.
7. Will Smith will always make us laugh.
His one-liners will never not be hilarious.
