This new Zales commercial shows a lesbian couple getting married, and we’re cheering

Now, more than ever, it’s important to spend money on companies whose worldviews you can depend on. With so much going on in the world post-election —  from the violence at Standing Rock to the rise in hate crimes nationwide — it’s important that those most vulnerable are able to find out exactly who their allies are.

Actions done by big companies matter right now, and surprisingly, we can now add Zales to that list of allies. The latest Zales commercial features a lesbian wedding, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

The adorable ad focuses on what Zales is known for — helping customers find jewelry that matches the love they have for their partners.

Many fans of the brand have shown support for the new LGBTQ-inclusive ad online -- but not everyone is pleased to see it on the airwaves.

Anti-gay group One Million Moms published a statement this week condemning Zales for giving visibility to lesbian and queer women in same-sex relationships.

One Million Moms is encouraging their supporters to tell the managers at their nearest Zales locations that they won't be supported by One Million Moms this holiday season. But really, is that such a bad thing?

Shoppers this holiday season should be doing all that they can to be well-informed about what causes their favorite stores support, but boycotting a store that gets inclusivity right? We say, keep shopping at Zales, folks!
