This yummy “Christmas oatmeal” is the best way to use up your leftover cookies
We always turn to the ultra-creative foodies of Instagram when we need to come up with a new recipe, especially when we want something new to try. One of our favorite vegan food bloggers shared this ah-mazingly delicious Christmas oatmeal recipe, and we were like, oh heck yes! It’s giving us ~all the nomz~ and we can’t wait to give it a shot.
Alex, aka @plantifulalexandra, came up with this genius Christmas oatmeal recipe. We can’t believe we didn’t think of doing this!
"Christmas is over.. Christmas food is not!🎄 Simple oatmeal made of oats, flax seeds, mashed banana, raisins, cinnamon and oat milk, topped with walnuts & date-chocolate stars.🌟"
And how SCRUMPTIOUS does this look?! We’re loving the stars made of chocolates and dates.
Of course, you can also be like us and decide to make a bajillion more Christmas cookies of the sugary, buttery variety to toss on your Christmas oatmeal instead.
We’ll be the last to judge! Plus, you can pair your new oatmeal recipe with a handful of cookies to dunk in your coffee every morning. Yuuuuum.
Talk about a sweet twist on our go-to breakfast! We’re so excited to enjoy this gorgeous oatmeal. Who knew we’d ever call oatmeal gorgeous, anyway!? Leave it to the food bloggers to inspire us to try something new.
