This teen looks exactly like Jennifer Lawrence
If she ever wants to take a day off from work, actress Jennifer Lawrence should call her doppelgänger, Alexia Maier, to help fill in. Maier, who’s currently 17, has such a strong resemblance to the actress that we’re almost seeing double. So, it’s strange that it took some time to convince the teen that they’re almost twins. “At first I thought it was a joke when people started saying I looked like Jennifer Lawrence,” she said to Daily Mail. “But when I started getting dozens of comments about my J-Law similarities, I started to realize it myself.”
According to Maier, a model, she occasionally gets stopped in the street by Lawrence fans looking for a selfie or an autograph. Even though she is quick to tell people that she’s not actually Jennifer Lawrence, people often don’t believe her. As Lawrence herself isn’t a fan of selfies or public recognition, trying to divert attention the way Maier does might seem even more in character.
Luckily, aside from the many comments online, Maier said that there’s never any confusion in her hometown — just in big cities. “In my hometown, people know they’re not going to see a real celebrity, so I’ve been told I look like her, but never confused,” she said. “But when visiting New York, people will ask me for autographs.”
Maier even recalled one of her favorite instances of turning down a fan.
"I think one of my favorite examples is when a woman said 'Jennifer, I'm your biggest fan!' I told her, 'I'm not Jennifer!' but the woman immediately said, 'are you sure?' I'll never forget her reaction," she said.
Judging by some of these photos, we can tell why they’d be a bit baffled.

Surprisingly, Maier isn’t a fan of the actress. But she did tell Daily Mail that she appreciates her, as her life has changed thanks to Lawrence being such a public figure.
"I know this is not the answer people are expecting from me, but I am not a fan," she said. "Even so, I can acknowledge that Jennifer has definitely impacted my life in strange ways."
If Maier ever decides to stop modeling, we have a feeling that she’d have no problem landing a job as a Jennifer Lawrence impersonator in the future.
