Creating wacky potato chip flavors isn’t a new concept, but it sure is tasty. Of all the potato chip brands, Pringles is one of the most inventive in the game. Earlier this year, they announced a line of potato-free chips. Back in 2015, they created hot dog-flavored Pringles. But nothing compares to their latest flavor announcement.
Pringles just unveiled a new flavor: Top Ramen Chicken. Take us back to college, please!
The snack company teamed up with Nissin Foods, the makers of Cup Noodles and Top Ramen, to make sure that the flavor is as authentic as possible. So of course, people are excited! It’s safe to say chicken is the most popular flavor of Top Ramen. Combine that with Pringles and you’ve got a super tasty chip with all the nostalgia of your college days. You know, back when all you could afford to eat was three packs of Ramen a day.
This isn’t the first time either company has attempted a crossover flavor. Nissin, which is a global company, has created some savory soft serve ice cream flavors in Japan, including soy sauce and curry. And in addition to hot dog and potato-free chips, Pringles has branched out into even more non-traditional potato chip flavors in recent years to varying degrees of success, including Pecan Pie and White Chocolate Peppermint.There is no doubt in our minds that Top Ramen will be a huge success, especially since the reactions we’ve seen on Twitter have been super positive.

According to a press release from Pringles, the cans of the Top Ramen Chicken flavor will only be available for a limited time, sold exclusively at Dollar General. The good thing is that each can is only $1.50 (not much more than a few packs of Ramen!) so you can stock up for when they are no longer available. And if they’re as good as people are saying they are (and we totally believe the hype) then you’re definitely going to want to buy a bunch!
