This little girl applied for a job at Google, and the CEO sent the cutest letter in reply
Popular wisdom tells us that it’s never too early to start thinking about your career. No matter how young you are you can always be working toward your ultimate career goals. On top of that, you should never be afraid to make bold moves or “lean in”! However 7-year old Chloe Bridgewater of Hereford, UK has us all beat!
The 7-year old wrote and sent in a handwritten job application to Google!
The plucky little girl (who also wants to work at a chocolate factory and swim in the Olympics) learned about the job opportunity from her dad, Andy Bridgewater. She apparently asked him where he’d want to work if he didn’t have his job of selling refrigerator parts, and he told her about Google. He showed her pictures of all the slides, beanbags, and fun perks and she was on board!
Because remember, she is 7 years old!
Her letter is, of course, totally adorable, and also only the second one she’s written in her entire life (the first one was to Santa)!
As if this wasn’t amazing enough, Google CEO Sundar Pichai read her letter and sent her a reply!
The letter reads:
Dear Chloe, Thank you so much for your letter. I'm glad that you like computers and robots, and hope that you will continue to learn about technology. I think if you keep working and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to — from working at Google to swimming in the Olympics. I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! : ) All the best to you and your family.
So, not a solid job offer, but the next best thing!
Congratulations to Chloe! You are the very definition of girlboss! We are so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! Good luck with the rest of elementary school!
