“This Is Us” just made a way too topical Kardashian joke, and Twitter is now convinced the show is psychic
If you haven’t watched the Season 2 premiere of This Is Us, now might be a good time to turn around. Unless, you like shows being spoiled. YOU. DO. YOU. In any case, here we go…
The Season 2 premiere of This Is Us had it all: Drama, tears, and…a really topical Kardashian joke?
Yep, you read that right.
At the beginning of the episode, Sophie is upset that she can’t make it out to Los Angeles to join Kevin for his birthday. (You’ll recall, Kevin is in the City of Angels filming a movie with Ron Howard. Unfortunately, that movie is not the Young Han Solo flick.) She wishes that she could make the trip to A) be with him, and B) see a Kardashian.
That’s when Kevin responds with this way too timely zinger:
"The Kardashians aren’t going anywhere," he tells Sophie. "I promise. They're like gremlins. By next week, there'll be like a bazillion more of them."
The joke couldn’t be more timely, because Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are both reportedly pregnant with their first child, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West reportedly found a surrogate, who is now pregnant with their third child.
I’m just going to ask what we’re all thinking: Is Kevin/Team This Is Us psychic? No, but really…
Twitter had a freaking field day with the relevancy.
Many gave the NBC hit a shoutout for pretty much predicting the Kardashian-Jenner pregnancies. And some even offered conspiracy theories…
