If you’re looking to cry at your desk today, the cast of “This Is Us” just surprised some die-hard fans

This year, there was no freshman show more talked about than NBC’s This Is Us. The trailer for the series dropped last spring without much publicity, but quickly became the most watched trailer in history. By the time the series begin airing in the fall, it was ~the~ most talked about show of the season.

During its incredible first season run, This Is Us was picked up for an additional two seasons, meaning the Pearsons will be making us cry for another two years. But it turns out, we don’t have to wait until September for the series to make us cry — all we have to do is watch this video of the stars surprising their fans.

This Is Us fans recently sat down in front of NBC cameras to open up about their experiences watching the show. The fans opened up about how they’ve connected with various members of the Pearson family through their own lives and experiences, including struggling with weight loss, being adopted, and the loss of a parent. Little did they know, Mandy Moore (Rebecca), Milo Ventimiglia (Jack), Chrissy Metz (Kate), and Sterling K. Brown (Randall) were listening to their stories. *Cue tears*

The cast took the time to thank fans for telling their stories and letting the cast members into their homes every week. Naturally fans were taken by surprise, creating the most adorable and moving reactions *ever*.

The series was lauded for its emotional and realistic portrayal of the Pearson family, including parents Jack (Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Moore), and their three children Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Metz), and Randall (Brown). The dual timeline in the series allowed fans follow Jack and Rebecca and young parents to three kids and the three adult Pearson Children. It’s been a series that almost everyone can relate to on some level.

We can’t wait to see the second season when it returns to NBC this fall!
