The “This Is Us” cast gave up their plus-ones at the SAG Awards to bring the younger cast members

In today’s episode of “We’re Not Crying, You’re Crying,” the This Is Us cast gave us another reason to dissolve into a pool of our own tears. The elder Big Three actors gave up their own plus-ones to the SAG Awards to make sure all of the younger Big Three actors could attend the awards show.

Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate on This Is Us, brought Mackenzie Hancsicsak — who plays the youngest version of Kate — along for the ride, and Hancsicsak was beyond grateful:

Justin Hartley, who plays Kevin, also brought the youngest actor behind his character, Parker Bates, with him to the awards show.

Meanwhile, Sterling K. Brown — who plays Randall, and won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award for his role — brought his wife and fellow actor, Ryan Michelle Bathe, with him. But don’t worry about Lonnie Chavis, who plays the youngest Randall; he attended too, and seemed to be more than happy to rock the red carpet solo.

The multigenerational cast won big at the 2018 SAG Awards, taking home Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

The entire This Is Us clan had a family reunion onstage, and we couldn’t be happier for them! Adding to our excitement, Pearson family patriarch, Jack (aka Milo Ventimiglia), spoke on behalf of the cast when accepting the award:

"We are just a small collection of a lot of very talented and very hard-working people that work on this show. For the people that watch with us every Tuesday night and embrace the show that reflects positivity and hope and inclusion, we love you!"

Between bringing relatable and captivating characters to the screen and pulling off these adorable red carpet moments, we’re even more in love with the Pearson family!
