An “American Horror Story” star is coming to “This Is Us” and our televison worlds are colliding
It appears as if someone has made it out of Roanoke alive, and their next stop is NBC. We’ve just learned that one American Horror Story long-time veteran is stopping by This Is Us, and everything is perfect in the world right now — or, at least for our television worlds.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Denis O’Hare has just signed on for a recurring role on This Is Us, playing Jessie. There aren’t many details about his character yet, but it sounds like he’ll be a friend of William (You know, Randall’s dad, who you know *gulp* dies in the future), and it sounds like he’ll be sticking around for multiple episodes, and he’ll make his grand entrance later on this season.
With O’Hare joining the cast, he’ll also be reuniting with another AHS cast member, Chrissy Metz, who plays Kate on This Is Us. Chrissy, if you remember, played Barbara during Freak Show. And, O’Hare will also be hanging out with Sterling K. Brown, who was in American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, and it’s starting to looks like This Is Us is the new place for friends of Ryan Murphy to hang out. Not that we’re complaining.
And hopefully this means that a few more AHS faves might stop by, too. Surely there can be something for Evan Peters to do, whether in the past with Jack, or present-day with Kevin. Can’t you just see those two being Hollywood-bros?
