This guy took a selfie while his girlfriend was sneezing, and it looks terrifying
If you’ve ever used the panorama feature on your phone’s camera, you know it’s hard to get the perfect shot on the first try. A couple learned this the hard way recently when a woman sneezed during her boyfriend’s pano-selfie and came out looking all the way possessed.
Reddit user JuddJasper wrote in an original post, “My phone has a wide selfie feature similar to a panorama. You need to sit still for it to work. My girlfriend sneezed, and this happened.” He makes it sound like it’s NBD, but the result is pretty terrifying. Like, brace yourselves terrifying.
Whatever you do, do not move for panorama selfies or you’ll look like a monster.
A gorgeous, glowing monster, of course. But a monster nonetheless. The comments on the Reddit thread are pretty hilarious. One person wrote, “Me on the inside vs me on the outside when someone makes me take a selfie,” and we couldn’t relate more. Another wrote, “Be strong, Clarence,” which is a Pokémon reference that people then ran with (because why not). Basically, this woman is a Reddit celebrity now that she has two faces.
We can’t tell if we’re jealous or feel bad for her. Probably a little bit of both.
Please check out this awful #panoramafail.
This is happening to people all over the internet, by the way. If you do a quick search on Instagram for #panoramafail, you’ll find a bunch of possessed-looking selfies, or pictures of people with their faces totally squished. It’s the perfect mix of creepy and hilarious.
Panorama fails are more common than you think.

These are horrifying, but so great. And there are apparently tons of crazy tricks you can try with the panorama or wide selfie feature on your phones. One woman has even coined the term “donut selfie,” in which you take a selfie of your entire head, if you’re into that sort of thing.

The next time you think you see a ghost in a picture, just know it could possibly be a panorama snap gone wrong.
