This grounded teenager got stuck in her bedroom, so she made an escape movie on Snapchat
After being (literally) trapped inside her room, a grounded teenager filmed a movie on Snapchat to document her escape.
High school junior Alexa Pacheco, 17, told Seventeen her parents grounded her due to her grades. As punishment, they took the lockable doorknob off of her bedroom door.
However, because they left the latch in place, the door wouldn’t open after Alexa shut it.
"I had to shower, so I closed the door to change," Pacheco told Seventeen. "When the door shut, I realized I was accidentally locked in."

Pacheo accompanied the various videos of her imprisonment with an appropriate soundtrack (including Beyoncé’s “Freedom” and “I’m a Survivor” by Destiny’s Child), as any good movie director would.
"I didn't have anything better to do in my room," she said. "I was like, 'What should I [film] next? There are a lot of different songs in the video, so a lot of the time was spent thinking, What song would go good with this part?"
false
Her parents had to come home to open the latch with tools, but Pacheco eventually made it to freedom – all thanks to her fans, she said.
