This woman’s days-of-the-week underwear Facebook post has gone viral for a super relatable reason

Who among us hasn’t owned a days-of-the-week underwear set? Yup, we thought so.

Well, then we all can appreciate this viral Facebook post shared by Aussie Jessica Vincent about an underwear situation gone awry. Vincent shared a post on the Peter Alexander Sleepwear page noting that her days-of-the-week underwear set was, well, missing a day. Since its original post date (June 18th), Vincent has received 28,000 likes, 916 shares, and over 5,000 comments. People REALLY feel strongly about day-of-the-week underwear, and we don’t blame them. After all, if you’re opting to go with underwear that states what day of the week it is, it might as well be accurate.

Vincent writes,

“As I'm sure you understand, undergarments marked with the days of the week are something only an obsessively organised person would desire. Therefore, it was a purchase decision I grappled with. What if I lost the Wednesday pair? What if I had a busy week and got behind with my laundry, only to get to the weekend and find all that was available was Tuesday? Nervous as I was, I managed to set these doubts aside; for I'm never behind with the laundry and I don't lose things. Steeled with this knowledge, I made the purchase and headed home, confident in my decision.

We hear you. In the rest of the hilarious message, she explains how she ended up with two Thursday pairs. What’s a girl to do?

“As you can see from the attached photo (hereafter to be referred to in all correspondence as Exhibit A), there are two pairs of underwear marked 'Thu.' and a complete absence of a Monday-dedicated pair. I'm sure there are individuals who would not mind adorning their rear with 'Thu.' each Monday; for example the illiterate, or the criminally insane. Since I am neither, I can only assume you are trying to enforce either Commando Mondays or Cardio Workout Thursdays. Whatever your intention, I'm going to have to respectfully decline.

Amazing. Commenters commiserated with Vincent on her missing pair of undies, and inquired what happened next. “I’d just go commando on Monday,” one commenter wrote. “OMG I WOULD DIE,” another stated.

Vincent told Metro, “Fear gripped my heart.‘Particularly since it was in fact, already Monday.” She added, “It was a one-off purchase. I’ve considered days of the week socks in the past, but keeping track of the two in the pair adds yet another layer of complexity.”

We hope Peter Alexander Sleepwear hooks her up with a free (complete!) days-of-the-week underwear set, stat.
