This cross-stitch street art by Raquel Rodrigo is our new obsession
Somewhere along the line, the art of cross-stitching made the leap from your Meemaw’s faithful pastime to a mainstream fave. No shade to grandma’s hand-crafted creations, but Spanish artist Raquel Rodrigo’s cross-stitch street art is on an entirely different level.
According to Bored Panda, the artist/set designer has livened up the streets of Spain with her signature floral cross-stitch installations. With a creative process that involves winding string around pieces of wire mesh, Rodrigo’s used her unique artistic talents to beautify everything from chain link fences to doorways and storefronts.
