This 95-year-old man came out as gay for the first time, and you must watch the powerful video

Roman knew he was gay when he was just five years old – but he didn’t come out until he was 95.
YouTuber Davey Wavey sat down with Roman to discuss what coming out at 95 was like. Roman, who has a wife of 67 years, two kids, five grandkids, and one great-grandchild, told Wavey he felt ready to be true to himself.
“I think there’s a lot to take from this video, Wavey told The Huffington Post. “There’s a sense of history in understanding how far we’ve come, and the struggles that this man must have experienced. There’s gratitude for the LGBT people who marched and rallied and bleed and sweat so that today’s world is different ― and that fewer people feel compelled to live in the shadows or closets. But there’s also raw humanity. Whether you are queer or not, listening to Roman stirs something in all of us. And at a time when the world often feels divisive and divided, it’s good to be reminded of our common humanity.

Roman told Wavey he’d like to get a boyfriend, but he doesn’t care what any potential suitors might look like.
"I want to go to sleep [and] have somebody close to me. Not for any other reason but to be sure that someone cares, Roman said.
And that, dear Roman, is something we can all relate to.
