The third royal baby is here, and Twitter is losing its mind
Congratulations are in order for the royal family: Kate Middleton has officially given birth to the third royal baby! On Monday, April 23rd, Kensington Palace released a statement stating that the new addition arrived at 11:01 local time…and the world is already obsessed. It feels like it’s been years since Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge announced they were expecting a third child, and now we can finally count down the minutes until we get a glimpse of the tiny prince.
The statement from Kensington Palace announced that Kate and William welcomed a healthy son into their world, noting that both mother and baby are doing well.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.
The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.
The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.
Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.

William and Kate already have two other children: Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two. We don’t know too many details about their new little brother just yet, and we’re anxiously awaiting the name reveal.
The birth of the third baby comes at an exciting time for both William and Kate. The Sun reported yesterday, April 22nd, that Kate’s sister Pippa is pregnant her first child with husband James Matthews. The two will also gain a new sister-in-law when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marry on May 19th, 2018.
Twitter is currently in fine form, full of jokes, well wishes, and reactions that totally nail what we’re all feeling. Check out some of the best below: false

Instead of saying 'Kate has given birth', they should say 'the #RoyalBaby has arrived at the heir-port'.

Many are intrigued by the new line of succession.
Royal history has been written today: for the first time, a British Prince will not precede his elder sister in the line of succession to the throne. This is a result of the Succession to the Crown Act from 2013. #RoyalBaby #RoyalBaby3

Welcome to the world #royalbaby
Apparently he’s already 5th in line for the throne…
…which is odd, because he’s not even potty-trained yet. pic.twitter.com/lqx2IKVJJB
