There might be a third nor’easter, and here’s what you need to know
Every time we think the winter weather is finally behind us, another winter storm threatens to keep the cold going strong. And now, meteorologists predict that a third nor’easter could be headed our way. It would be the third winter storm that’s hit in March alone — and we’re not even a third of the way through the month.
On March 1st, the first nor’easter of the month hit the East Coast. Winter Storm Riley brought strong winds, heavy rain, snow, and coastal flooding up and down the coast. Then, on March 7th, Winter Storm Quinn showed up, doubling down on the snow accumulation. Now, even though many are still shoveling their driveways, salting their sidewalks, digging their cars out of the snow, and dealing with fallen trees, a third nor’easter is very much a possibility.
According to ABC News, there will be a storm moving along the Gulf Coast in the south on Saturday and Sunday, March 10th and 11th. That storm could bring heavy winds, hail, and maybe even tornadoes. But as for how the storm will evolve, there are two schools of thought developing. One option is that the storm will bring heavy snow up the East Coast on Monday. Or, it could just bring a little bit of rain that tapers off by Monday night.

The possibility of a third nor’easter is still developing.
We don’t know much about how it will affect us yet. But we do know that temperatures are going to stay cold on the East Coast. Wind chills are expected to drop into the teens and single digits all the way from the Midwest to the Northeast.

It’s true what they say: March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.
