Moved to speak out after the conviction of the Steubenville rapists, actress Traci Lords penned the track ‘Stupidville’. Lords told CNN that after the verdict, fans bombarded her with tweets knowing she was from the Ohio town.
“I just couldn’t stay silent, and I got really angry, so I wrote a song called ‘Stupidville,’ which is what all the locals [used to call it].”
Her opinion is unique in that she is the only celebrity to weigh in who was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio, and also raped when she was 10 years old by an older boy. Her mother was also raped in Steubenville.
