Two weeks of incredible competition at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio has nearly come to an end. This Sunday, August 21st will be the Closing Ceremonies, which will officially declare the end of the 31st Olympiad. We have enjoyed all of the incredible athletic performances from Gymnastics to Swimming to Track and Field, and we can’t believe it’s almost over! As we get ready to say goodbye to sports like Synchronized Swimming until 2020, we have collected some of the most incredible photos from the Rio Olympic Games.

The Opening Ceremonies dazzled the night sky above Rio.

The incredible photographs were a sight to behold as they erupted from around the entire stadium. It was a beautiful and breathtaking end to teh Opening Ceremonies.

Cycling goes so fast that the world kind of fades away.

The Men’s 3,000-meter Steeplechase leaves us awestruck.

The Steeplechase is one of the more unusual events in the Olympics, combining a long distance run with larger hurdles and a water jump. This shot really captures the athleticism of these runners as they jump over the hurdles.

We loved watching Katie win all her Medals and totally smash her own world record in the 800-meter. Yet somehow, this photo makes the intense competition so beautiful and peaceful.
