We have to admit that we’ve spent way too much time watching YouTube video afterYouTube video. Honestly, the talent on there is straight up nonsensical, but we’re so grateful to our faveYouTubers! So when we saw that Forbes released their list of the highest-paid YouTube stars of 2016, we just had to see if any of our faves made it. So who are the highest-paid YouTube stars of 2016?
First, some background. When it came to the biggest money makers on YouTube, these stars made a total of a whopping $70.5 million. Like, holy cow. That’s *so* much money. It’s worth noting, obviously, that getting YouTube famous isn’t easy, so we have major respect for the amount of work these folks put into getting this level of fame. Too, the diversity on YouTube has gotten it major bonus points from people who wish mainstream media was more reflective of the world we actually live in.

With $15 million and 49,756,391 subscribers. Holy. Crap.
2Roman Atwood
With $8 million and 10,152,692 subscribers.
3Lily Singh
With $7.5 million and 10,296,350 subscribers.

So there you have it, friends. The highest-paid YouTube stars of 2016. Are we filled with envy? Heck yeah. But we’re also so proud of these talented creators!
