These are some of the last words of “Pretty Little Liars,” so brace yourself
Way sooner than we’d like, we’re going to have to say goodbye to Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily of Pretty Little Liars. Luckily, we won’t have to wait until the Pretty Little Liars final season’s premiere date (April 18 —put it on your calendars!!) to get a glimpse of what’s to come. Showrunner I. Marlene King is dropping hints all over Twitter, and they feature some of our favorite ships: Spoby, Haleb, and Emison.
Last week, King tweeted lines of dialogue from the 2-hour (!!) finale — one for each of the three ships.
For Spencer and Toby, something intellectual, of course.
"Limerence. I looked up."– Spoby 720

For Hanna and Caleb, something appropriately broody and dramatic.
"That's exactly why we need to talk about it." – Haleb #720

And with Emily and Allison, someone gets bossy (one guess who).
"I’m actually trying to right now if
you would just give me a second." — Emison #720— I. Marlene King (@imarleneking) February 1, 2017
These tweets are really revving us up for April, but there’s one alarming absence: where do Aria and Ezra fit into all this? Back in September, King dropped more lines of dialogue from the finale that involved vows, which people naturally assumed involved Aria and Ezra who were engaged — but King is nothing if not adept at giving us the unexpected. false
The good news is thanks to some major internet sleuths, there’s probably nothing to worry about. Ian Harding instagrammed a super sweet photo of Lucy Hale back in October, who looked like she was covering a wedding dress with a jacket. #EzriaForever #EvenThoughHeHadThatTerribleCreepySubplot
All that to say, there are most definitely some major reveals on the horizon for the Freeform show and we can’t wait to obsess over every sneaky, lying, creepy moment of it. And once we’ve dried our tears on an “A” handkerchief, we can look forward to other PLL-adjacent shows. King is hard at work on new Freeform series Famous In Love, starring Bella Thorne. Hale is moving to the CW to star in the dramedy Life Sentence. And Shay Mitchell is getting a new reality series called Shades of Shay, which will be on subscription service Fullscreen. Strap in, liars.
