There’s been a MASSIVE food recall, and it may affect you
Alert! Be careful in the frozen food section! 382 different frozen fruits and vegetables have been recalled due to a Listeria outbreak that landed several people from three states in the hospital.
CRF Frozen Foods is the company responsible for the frozen food, and this recall includes all the frozen fruits and vegetables that have been come out of their Washington facility since May 2014. More than 42 different brand names have been selling CRF products at all kinds of shops, including Walmart, Costco, and Trader Joe’s.
CRF released a statement about the breakout, as reported by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC). They stated, “Some of these illnesses have been linked to consuming CRF-manufactured or processed products. CDC also informed us that, sadly, two of these individuals later died, but that Listeria was not the cause of death in either person.”
Symptoms of Listeria include severe headache, high fever, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Contact a doctor immediately if you experience any of these. The CDC even names miscarriage and stillbirth as side effects of Listeria.
