There’s a ‘Beauty and the Beast’-themed cafe and we want to be their guest

If you’re a fan of Beauty and the Beast, 2017 is shaping up to be your year. The live-action remake looks stunning, and now you can have your cake and eat it too —at the Beauty and the Beast cafe that honors the iconic fairytale (not to mention the unforgettable Disney animated movie). And while the furniture may not actually be enchanted servants under a terrible curse (which is probably a good thing), everything else about this amazing cafe will make you feel like an actual princess.

The Kensington Hotel in London has designed and implemented an afternoon tea meal that will have fans of the movie sprinting to grab an airplane ticket. Inspired by the epic love story of Belle and the Beast, everything on the ‘Tale As Old As Time’ menu pays homage to the classic film.

The menu is the sort of thing that would get Lumiere singing: bite-size venison pies, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, and a chocolate clock tart in honor of Cogsworth. You can even ‘try the grey stuff’ in the form of a sweet white chocolate mousse. It’s a dream come true for any fan of the movie (or anyone with a weakness for fancy afternoon tea). The teapot is naturally the no-nonsense Mrs. Potts from the film. And if you want to get really fancy, you can order some champagne alongside your assortment of teas. Who else is getting hungry?

Now the not-so-great news: Disney fans from all over the world have leapt at the chance to live out the scene from ‘Be Our Guest,’ and space is incredibly limited. In fact, the ‘Tale As Old As Time’ menu is currently booked all the way through November. Cancellations do happen from time to time though, so go here to check out any openings. If you’re near London and luck out on getting a reservation, you can enjoy a sweet and savory Disney experience straight out of the classic film.
