There’s a “Teen Mom” themed cruise and we have a few questions…
The celebrity cruise circuit has been around for decades and is still going strong. The whole concept behind the getaway being a chance to get up close and personal with your favorite star or artist. Case in point: a recent Backstreet Boys-centric cruise that spoke to the teenybopper in us all.
Well, the latest getaway features a very interesting group of characters that we wouldn’t expect to see on the high seas anytime soon: none other than a few cast members from Teen Mom. Where this idea came from is a question that we want answered, but we can probably guess that gearing a trip toward a younger, reality television-obsessed contingent is a great place to start.
Amber Portwood, Maci Bookout, and Kailyn Lowry are the trio of ladies who will be front and center for the vacation, which is being hosted by CruiseGourmet.com Magazine and Vacations by Design. The expedition spans five days and includes special screenings (of what we’re not sure), a slew of surprises, and in-person interviews and Q&As, along with all meals and entertainment included. Sounds like a pretty good deal to us.
All three ladies have already begun the social media plugging, with Portwood captioning her post about the cruise:
“Happy to announce the first ever cruise with the Teen Mom 2 and OG cast! @macideshanebookout, @kaillowry, and I will all be heading to the Bahamas with you next summer.”
Miami, Nassau, Cococay, and Key West are all on the agenda. Prices start at $734 for an inside stateroom and max out at $1,303 for a junior suite. We did notice at the bottom of the information page that it states “Artists/cast members subject to availability” and “A minimum number of participants required in order to operate.” But with over 600 comments on Portwood’s post alone, we don’t have any doubts that there will be a lot of fans signing-up.
