There’s a Beyoncé-inspired skyscraper being built in Australia
Stop what you’re doing and sit down because this information is a game-changer. A #majorkey, if you will. Beyoncé has inspired the design of a skyscraper that’s being built in Australia. We repeat: Beyoncé — and all of her jelly — are becoming an actual, physical building in Melbourne, and you can live there if you really want to.
Pause for applause.
Construction on the 79-storey Premier Tower, designed by Elenberg Fraser, an offbeat Australian architectural firm, has begun in downtown Melbourne and when complete, the tower’s bends and curves will mirror the twisting forms Bey’s body took in the music video for “Ghost” off of her self-titled 2013 album.
Here’s a look back at how her body moved inside a fabric tube in the video.

See the resemblance?
It’s truly eye-catching.
The incredible thing about this bey-uilding (see what we did there?) is not only its artistic form, it’s that the structure is also highly functional. The building’s curves actually provide the best answer to wind, solar and structural requirements, according to the firm.
“We’re not going to deny that this is one stunning building,” the company says. “After all, the simplest solutions are usually the best.”
The multi-use building will feature 796 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with views of Melbourne’s downtown core, along with 187 hotel rooms on six floors plus cafés and retail spaces.
