The world is outraged over this guy’s failed bag of chips
By now, we’ve accepted the fact that when you buy a bag of chips, a lot of that bag is actually filled with air. But this is like nothing we’ve ever seen before. In a video posted on Facebook, a man shows off a small bag of Waitrose crinkle cut crisps. (And in case you’re not familiar, these are pretty much the equivalent to chips that those of us in America could easily buy in a vending machine.)
Noticing the bag felt a little bit light, the man — reportedly named Martyn Abbott — decided to open it on camera. Y’know, for proof. Just in case something happened.
What ended up happening is an outrage to every single snack fan out there.
Witness, with your own eyes, as this guy managed to find one measly chip in his bag.
One. Chip.
Even his dog looked disappointed by the reveal.
Luckily, he had a sense of humor about it. We, on the other hand, would be flipping tables Liz Lemon style.
Helen Abbott, who shared the video, also shared it with Waitrose, the company responsible for this disappointment. Mashable chatted with both Abbott and Waitrose, who were quick to apologize for the error.
"We’re sorry for the disappointment and will be looking into what happened to the crisp's friends to make sure it doesn’t happen again," they said to Mashable.
I think the world can forgive them just this once. Let’s be honest here — even though there was only one small chip in that bag, it still looked pretty tasty.
