‘The Walking Dead’ fans are getting REALLY creative on Twitter
Ever think the world of zombies and Jedis couldn’t possibly be mixed? Think again, because in light of the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the Internet is doing what it does best.
If you’ve been on social media lately, you’ve likely seen a million (not even that much of an exaggeration) tweets, posts, and articles all about the latest installment in the Star Wars franchise. But even if you’ve been trying to keep away from all that because #spoilers, Walking Dead fans won’t want to miss this.
The Walking Dead franchise’s Twitter recently unveiled the most rad mashups ever using the hashtag #TWDStarWars. We saw Daryl Dixon, Michonne, and Rick channeling the force and wielding lightsabers (which, TBH, we’re sure would be quite effective in zombie-slaughter).
Fans start contributing to the hashtag with their own mashups and artwork — everything from an adorable brain-eating Ewok (you guessed it: The Ewoking Dead) to the whole team wielding lightsabers. And the creativity is strong with this one.
And it’s got us thinking. . . really, a lightsaber would be a major help for those conquering the undead. But then think about an army of Stormtrooper zombies. . . yeesh. It’s OK, though. Michonne’s got everyone covered.
Oh, Internet, is there anything you can’t do? (Hey, AMC — now can we get a *real* crossover? K thx bye.)
