This intense and explosive “The Walking Dead” trailer teases all-out war ahead

“I hope you got your shitting pants on,” Negan tells Father Gabriel at the beginning of the Season 8 trailer for The Walking Dead. 

Gabriel responds, “What?”

“Your shitting pants, I hope you’re wearing ’em right now ’cause you,” Negan continues, then takes a dramatic pause, “are about to shit your pants.”

Then, a smug smile appears on Negan’s face, and Gabriel looks terrified. And honestly, same here — we’re terrified for him.

But also, wow, that’s one powerful way to kick off a trailer.

What follows is a lot of characters looking pensive — WE SEE YOU RICK, CAROL, MAGGIE — presumably thinking about their next moves. And of course, there’s lots of zombie danger, and a preview of that “all-out war” ahead.

Well, that was certainly intense — and there’s a lot more where that came from.

"We have all kinds of great stuff planned. Our next season…will be very action-packed and very fast-paced. I counted six explosions in the trailer alone," Robert Kirkman, who created the comic series that the show is based on, said of what else can be expected this season.

That sounds like the making of good ‘ol apocalyptic drama (and scares) to us. So you bet we’ll be counting down the days until The Walking Dead returns to AMC with its 100th episode on October 22nd.
