The trailer for Spike’s “The Mist” is basically guaranteed to give you nightmares
Church bells, an unknown mist, and a creepy child’s voice are basically the perfect formula to scare you to death. And if you watch the new trailer for Spike’s terrifying series The Mist you’ll probably want to sleep with the lights on tonight. Or at least keep your eyes open for that mist because it seems like something you want to avoid.
Stephen King is the actual King of Terrifying Things. And now one of his stories has been made into a 10-episode series called The Mist on Spike (Not to be confused with that other The Mist, aka, the faux title of American Horror Story Season 6.) Seriously…this mist is *bad news* and you should avoid at all costs! It also seems slow moving so many just run really fast, please!!!
The synopsis makes the show sound even *more* terrifying. I guess sometimes less information is better.
"The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down."
Small town?! Brutal crime?! This continues to get even more terrifying. And the images from the trailer will probably stick with you for a while so beware.

The Mist premieres June 22nd on Spike. It’s the perfect Summer show because the nights are shorter and there’s plenty of daylight to keep you safe. Just make sure to watch out for that mist.
