The Obamas released their last holiday video ever, and their parting words are so important

The Obamas have given us POTUS and FLOTUS goals since the day they stepped into the White House. From Michelle’s amazing style, to the endless dad jokes, to the way they kept their daughters so grounded — if #WhiteGoals were a thing, they’d have nailed it.

And their final holiday video is making us cry happy tears. Not only does their signature charm and banter shine through (they totally make fun of how awkward they were in their first Christmas video eight whole years ago), but their actual message is so incredibly important.

Take a look:

"The idea that we are our brother's keeper and our sister's keeper. That we would treat others as we would want to be treated. That we care for the sick. The hungry. That we welcome the stranger — no matter where they come from, or how they practice their faith," Michelle said in the video when discussing the values we should hold dear as a nation.

President Obama went on to add, “Those are values that help guide not only my family’s Christian faith, but that of Jewish-Americans and Muslim-Americans, non-believers, and people of all backgrounds.”

We are so thrilled and moved to hear this message of unity and compassion during a time when the world can seem like a very scary place.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Obama, for your wise words and your service to our country. We’re going to miss you — so much!
