The new “Grey’s Anatomy” trailer is making our hearts race
Some of our favorite TV shows are on midseason hiatus, and we’re itching for them to return. We’re stuck inside with the cold weather and we just want to snuggle up with new episodes! One show in particular that we NEED to come back ASAP is Grey’s Anatomy. Because a ton was left up in the air, and because the promos for the next episode have escalated the drama to a new level.
When we saw a sneak peek of the midseason return, we saw something horrible that left us with a million questions. Namely, What on earth happened to Meredith?! All we really knew for sure was that she somehow ends up on the ground, covered in blood. Was she shot? Or stabbed? Was there an explosion at the hospital? Is anyone else hurt?
“Meredith gets attacked by someone you would least expect and it is just as terrifying, shocking and harrowing as it appears,” Grey’s actress Kelly McCreary told Entertainment Weekly earlier this month.
Now, we finally have some answers behind the shocking scene. In this new teaser, we see that her attacker is a patient at Grey-Sloan. “She’s attacked really brutally, really viciously an in a completely surprising, weird way,” continued actress Sarah Drew.

It’s safe to say this episode, titled “The Sound of Silence” and directed by Denzel Washington, is going to be completely focused on Meredith. Other storylines will take a backseat as everyone rallies around her. Unfortunately, this means we’ll have to wait to hear what Jackson was going to say to April. Remember her shouting “Just say it!” at him? Yeah, that’s going to have to wait a little bit longer, because it’s all hands on deck for Meredith.
“Amelia takes that really hard. Amelia always holds herself extremely responsible for the misfortune of others,” said the actress who portrays her, Caterina Scorsone. “In this case especially, she feels somehow responsible, even though she’s really not. She often takes it all very personally when someone she’s close to is hurt. When we come back, Amelia is at a very, very low point.”
Considering how Amelia left things with Meredith, we bet she’ll be taking the attack very hard. Grey’s comes back in just a few short Thursdays, on February 11th at 8pm on ABC.
