The most streamed song ever on Spotify will seriously make you want to dance

Grab you dance shoes, because Drake has officially been crowned music’s Stream King. Spotify announced Tuesday morning that the rapper’s hit “One Dance” is the streaming service’s most-streamed song ever.

It edged out “Lean On,” an electronic track by Major Lazer with French producer DJ Snake and Danish singer Mo, which held the title for 11 months. Over the summer, One Dance was Google Play’s most downloaded track.

It seems no one can get enough of this song, which features vocals by U.K. singer Kyla and Nigerian singer Wizkid. It’s also the only dance floor number with afrobeats on the album (although Too Good, featuring Rihanna, from whom Drake may have recently split, is also addicting).

AND it rocked the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. Not too shabby.

After its April release, Drake’s album Views hovered on the top spot on Billboard’s 200 album chart for a bumping 13 weeks (we heard it blasting throughout our entire neighborhood). It became the first album to hit 1 billion streams on Apple Music, which it hit only one month after its release.

Like much of Drake’s music, the song is obviously MADE to inspire. Check out some of the incredible choreography people have put to it.

We’re zero percent surprised that One Dance has racked up over 880 million plays on Spotify, because most of them are probably by us.
