Guys, “The Little Prince” has got a premiere date AND a new trailer
It’s a beautiful day: We just got a boatload of great news about The Little Prince, the animated film adaptation for which we’ve all been waiting!
Thanks to Netflix, the adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s famous French novella is finally coming to the U.S., and the streaming service just gifted us a new trailer AND a premiere date: August 5th. EEEK.
For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of reading The Little Prince in high school English class, it’s about a young prince on an alien planet. However, this adaptation has added a whole new level by focusing on a little girl who’s being told the prince’s story.
The film — which stars some of our faves like Paul Rudd, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, and Rachel Adams — debuted at Cannes last year, and it was *supposed* to be available for our viewing pleasure this March, but then got dropped by the distributor, Paramount. However, Netflix saved the day, and based on the latest trailer, we’re very lucky they did.
The Little Prince trailer somehow manages to fill us with wonder, make us nostalgic for childhood, and make us happy *and* sad, all at the same time. Oh, Netflix. . . you’ve done it again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
