The internet thinks Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Christmas card has a Photoshop fail in it

There’s so much to love about the holidays: cookies baking, festive lights…the Royal Family’s annual Christmas card. Who better than Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with Prince Charlotte and Prince George, to usher in the season?!

This year, the family of four posed for an official portrait — a change from last year’s candid Christmas card snap from taken during their Canada tour. In the studio-shot photo, all four royals are wearing blue (adorable!). Kate is rocking an chic powder-blue peplum-skirt set, while Prince William had donned a distinguished navy suit with a printed tie for the occasion. Prince George wears a summery striped shirt with shorts (of course), and Princess Charlotte is in the cutest floral frock and Mary Janes. The whole crew is all smiles.

But, there’s one thing that is a little off about the photo. And of course, it has not gone unnoticed by Twitter. Kate’s right arm appears to have completely disappeared, and people have questions. Has the royal Photoshop expert gotten a little too overzealous this season?

The internet is ablaze with speculation about where Kate’s shoulder, arm, hand, and fingers have gone. In response, royal fans are posting their questions on Twitter, and the results are pretty hilarious.

First, let’s look at the Christmas card photo itself:

The answer isn’t that hard to figure out, but Kerry-Ann did a good job summing it up:

Probably Kate just has her hand on her husband’s back. Because that’s like, a totally normal pose for a family photo. Missing arm or not, this is one royal Christmas card photo for the books.
