We FINALLY got a glimpse of Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’
So, after playing trailer hide-and-seek with us, Quentin Tarantino finally released a little bit of info about his newest movie, The Hateful Eight. And it sounds perfectly gory, as expected. In its epic promotional poster in Entertainment Weekly, The Hateful Eight is being described as “The meanest, grittiest, and deadliest movie of the year,” and we didn’t expect any less from Tarantino, the genius behind fantasy-revenge epics like Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.
The movie, which Entertainment Weekly says, “traps eight of the West’s nastiest gunslingers in a snowbound frontier way station, each wrapped in as many layers of deceit as they are clothing,” sounds like Tarantino at his finest.
According to Slash Film, the movie is set 6 to 12 years after the Civil War and follows bounty hunter John Ruth and Daisy Domergue, a fierce criminal. They head to Red Rock, where Daisy’s alleged crimes can be brought to justice, and on their way, they run into a myriad of wacky, awesome characters (including Samuel Jackson, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, and more).
Even though there’s no official trailer in sight (yet), I’m beyond psyched for The Hateful Eight, which comes out in theaters late this year.
