The “Fuller House” cast pays tribute to Alan Thicke and it’s both beautiful and sad all at once
Celebrities have been sharing their love for Alan Thicke and the Fuller House cast’s tributes to the late actor are both beautiful and sad at the same time.
On Tuesday, Thicke, who was 69 years old, passed away from a heart attack and his TV families have been honoring him on social media. Even though Thicke only just appeared on Season 2 of Fuller House and wasn’t a full-time cast member, the actors on the show clearly loved and cared for the acting legend.
"I'm sad beyond words that Alan Thicke has passed away. I've known you since I was 8 years old and so glad I had the pleasure of working with you again so recently on Fuller House," Candice Cameron Bure wrote on Instagram. "You were a part of my family and hockey family. You will be greatly missed. ❤️ My heart hurts."
Cameron Bure might’ve been someone who knew Thicke longer since her older brother Kirk Cameron starred alongside him as his TV son on Growing Pains for years, but the rest of the Fuller House cast definitely shared her sentiments.
“Damn. Loved this guy. Loved his self deprecating sense of humor. Charming, funny and sweet. Hell of a combo. We’ll miss you,” John Stamos wrote alongside a photo with the actor on set.
Thicke guest starred on the current season of the Netflix revival as a grandfather to someone who was trying to set their grandson up with DJ Tanner. He was funny, sweet and everything we remember him as in that small role.
“Oh man…I am so fortunate have called Alan Thicke my friend. Always generous of his time for those he cared about. And that’s a LOT of people,” Bob Saget said on social media.
"A great husband, brother, father and friend. And so talented in so many ways. Alan, you brought so much happiness and love to so many. You will be greatly missed. Oh, it's Bob btw."
Dave Coulier shared a funny photo of Thicke as a Mountie and it makes our hearts both happy and sad.

The show’s creator, and the original creator of Full House also shared a sweet goodbye to his longtime friend.
“A few weeks ago with my great, lovely friend for 35 years, the hilarious Alan Thicke. Will miss you dearly,” Jeff Franklin wrote.
