The Coffee Table with Tristen Glaab

While walking around at Artisanal LA this past October, we came across a rustic and cozy display (see photo at end of post) of custom furniture. A few seconds into talking with the owners of the company, we could tell they were in love and that a couple that makes tables for a living, must have an interesting coffee table of their own. Sharing her coffee table with us today is wife, mother, and co-creator of Kage Design Studio:

                                                   Currently Brewing
We have many projects going on right now! My husband and I have a custom furniture design business Kage Design Studio where we specialize in designing and building reclaimed wood furniture of all kinds. We ship pieces to clients’ homes all over the country and hopefully internationally soon!  I am very excited to venture into the commercial side of things and we have many projects in the works! We will be working with the incredibly fun crew at The Aalchemik Collective this month on their retail space. We love what we do! Aside from the business side of things I’m currently brewing a precious baby boy in my belly! My Favorite Drink

My favorite drink (when I’m not nursing a little munchkin and brewing another baby) is a simple cup of coffee with a bit of cream and a dash of sugar…mmm I miss it! Currently I’m hooked on organic teas…usually Chamomile, Pumpkin Spice or something holiday-ish!It’s the Little Things

  • My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
  • My Family. My handsome husband, Our beautiful 22 month Old Leo, and our precious Archie on the way!
  • A crisp fall day outside in the country cuddled up with my husband listening to Kari Jobe (okay maybe a little Justin Timberlake too) and a delicious bowl of warm baked potato soup watching our little boy laughing and playing in the leaves! (Not to get to specific or anything)

My Coffee Table

My coffee table is really more of a side table but it works! My husband made it but since he is always so busy and the only one who builds the furniture it’s a little hard for him to make time for us to have pieces in our home! I love to know we are making other families homes brighter and special with our pieces; they are one of a kind and a piece of art!

Everything on our coffee table represents myself and my life. Very simple: My faith, my family and my work. All of which I love with all my heart, soul, and mind!

                                             Words of Wisdom
No matter where I am or what I’m doing I always am thinking this and always put it into action: “Let all that you do be done in love!” – 1 Corinthians 16:14 I’ve also always been a fan of this saying: I’m not sure who said it first but I love it: “You can never laugh or smile too much!” Lastly…Something every child should grow up being told daily: “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” -Dr. Seuss
