The Chainsmokers just crashed a high school prom, and why wasn’t it ours??

The Chainsmokers, the hot EDM duo, surprised the crap out of the Huntley High School student body when they showed up at prom at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rosemont! Band members Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall gave prom-goers a surprise 10-minute performance before taking off to play at the Allstate Arena across the street.

Just look at their happy, shining faces!

It will certainly be a night to remember for these lucky high school students. false

Unbeknownst to the students, the bombshell performance was set into motions weeks ago. According to The Daily Herald, a Huntley High School student had sent an email to the manager of the band. The principal, Scott Rowe, then received a phone call from a filmographer associated with the band, and the plans were finalized within two weeks.

Principal Scott Rowe said it was one of the hardest secrets he’s had to keep. It paid off though. After the experience, he reported the happy results.

"They just kind of came from backstage and just started performing 'Closer.' The kids weren't exactly sure what was going on," Rowe said. "About three words in somebody screamed 'That's The Chainsmokers!' and they just bum-rushed the stage. It says a lot about those guys and how cool they are to their fans.
