“The Big Bang Theory’s” Melissa Rauch just welcomed her first child, and we love the name!
Hopefully the set is baby-proofed, since The Big Bang Theory‘s Melissa Rauch just gave birth to her first child. Rauch, who’s played the role of Bernadette Rostenkowski since 2009, previously shared her difficulties with pregnancy, making this new arrival even more celebrated.
Rauch released a touching statement about her pregnancy to Glamour in July, in which she also discussed her fears after previously suffering from a miscarriage. Her words were relatable to women who’ve been in her shoes. “Here is the only statement regarding my pregnancy that doesn’t make me feel like a complete fraud,” she wrote.”Melissa is expecting her first child. She is extremely overjoyed, but if she’s being honest, due to the fact that she had a miscarriage the last time she was pregnant, she’s pretty much terrified at the moment that it will happen again. She feels weird even announcing this at all, and would rather wait until her child heads off to college to tell anyone, but she figures she should probably share this news before someone sees her waddling around with her mid-section protruding and announces it first.”
Rauch got real in her piece, noting that the miscarriage opened up a level of depression for her. But at the same time, having gone through such grief, in her eyes, would likely make her a better mother. “It’s made me grateful for every moment of my current pregnancy, and I hope it will make me a better mother in some capacity when I can finally hold the child that has been in my heart in my arms,” she said.
The actress and her husband Winston welcomed a baby girl named Sadie.
She announced the arrival on Instagram, and made it clear that she’ll never forget the hard journey towards a viable pregnancy.
"I am beyond over the moon to share that our beautiful baby girl, Sadie Rauch, has arrived and our hearts are bursting at the seams with love for her," she said in the caption. "I will never take for granted the difficult road it took to get here. To those on that road: I'm sending you so much love today and always."
We wish nothing but the best for Sadie and her two loving parents!
