‘The Bachelorette’ Sam Frost’s makeup-free selfie is for an important cause
If you watch The Bachelorette Australia, you’ve seen the face of Sam Frost, many, many times. And you’ve probably noticed how flawless she looks 100% of the time. Seriously, LOOK:
Being on such a popular show, Sam fields a lot of comments and questions about her beauty habits from young women. However, Sam has been concerned about some of their messages, and she’s recently taken to Instagram with a make-up free selfie to express to those who feel self-conscious about their looks that it’s so important to love the skin you’re in.
“I feel very flattered when young girls comment on my photos or send me DM’s [sic] about how much they look up to me & they want to be as pretty as me,” Sam wrote in the caption of her selfie. “Which is so lovely and adorable, but this is the every day [sic] me. . . no filter, no edits, dark circles, messy hair, break outs [sic], uneven skin tone. And I wouldn’t change anything about myself!” Sam continued, explaining an important fact that not many young girls realize about their fave TV idols. “What you see in magazines & on TV is the result of hours in the makeup chair with very talented H&MU Artist,” Sam wrote. “I’ve said it before, but it’s what I live by. . . love yourself, be yourself, exactly the way you are xo.”
We LOVE when celebrities make sure to break down those barriers of Photoshop, makeup, and filters that the media lays on so thick. . . all in the name of body positivity. Of course, this isn’t the first time Sam has posted a makeup-free selfie. Earlier this year, she posted a shot of herself, captioning it, “Young girls shouldn’t scroll their Instagram and have a unrealistic idea of what they should look like. Do you, and love you. Exactly the way you are.”
YAAAS. Thank you, Sam, for being real about what really goes into being on a “reality” show, and reminding viewers that beauty is all about how you feel, not how much makeup you wear.
