These unretouched photos of model Tess Holliday prove body diversity is beautiful

By now, you’ve probably heard of the gorgeous “plus-size” model, Tess Holliday (also known as Tess Munster), who is totally revolutionizing the fashion industry by challenging what the fashion industry considers as the “ideal body type,” and proving that any kind of body is a gorgeous body —whether that body is size 2, or 22. Tess, who is the brains (and beauty) behind the #EffYourBeautyStandards movement, has over 510,000 followers on Instagram, landed a contract with MiLK Model Management, and is now the face of the clothing brand Torrid. And she looks amazing (naturally).

To give customers a sneak peek, Torried released some unretouched photos of the stunning model in her natural, non-digitally altered state. As always, she looks fab and fierce.

Tess told Style Caster, “Society tries to place us in a box and tell us how we can and can’t feel a certain way because of their size. I’m a firm believer that everyone should dress how they want to dress, and rock what they want to rock. It’s part of why I started by #EffYourBeauty Standards movement —it’s really about being yourself.”

And we definitely agree with Tess’ sentiments. Fashion, beauty, and expressing yourself is about feeling genuine, and comfortable with your body. And that’s what truly matters.
