Uh, Teresa Guidice’s Husband Wears Her Dead Dad’s PJs at Night

Luis Ruelas of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” says he does it to make Teresa’s daughters “feel safe.”

Ask any Real Housewives of New Jersey fan — Teresa Giudice firmly believes meeting her now-husband so soon after her father’s passing, was her late parents’ doing. Luis Ruelas may be new to the Giudice-Gorga family, but he’s found a rather special way to bond with his deceased father-in-law, Giacinto Gorga.

In the trailer for next week’s episode, set to air March 28, Ruelas confides in Giudice’s estranged brother, Joe Gorga, that he wears Giacinto’s pajamas to bed. Ruelas says he does it to make Giudice’s daughters “feel safe and loving.”

Based on Joe’s blank expression, it seems Ruelas’s words didn’t land with Joe the way he hoped they would.

“I live with your four nieces. I wear your father’s pajamas at night to make them feel safe and loving, do you know that?” Ruelas says to Joe in the preview.

The clip is maybe six seconds long. It’s hard to know for sure, but it appears divulging this info was Ruelas’s way of trying to connect with Joe. Perhaps, he thought it was an act of respect?

Joe has been beefing with Ruelas (almost) since he walked into Giudice’s life. Consequently, their coupling has gone on to affect Joe’s relationship with his sister. Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, who is also a RHONJ housewife, were not at Ruelas and Giudice’s 2022 wedding.

Fans got to know Giacinto from his time on the show. He was a prominent fixture in his kids’ and grandchildren’s lives.

Sadly, Ruelas didn’t get the chance to meet Giacinto before his passing in April 2020. Joe and Giudice lost their mom, Antonia, three years prior in 2017.

The Ruelas-Giudice blended family consists of Teresa’s four daughters — Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana — and Ruelas’s two sons, Luie Jr. and Nicholas.

Bravo drops new episodes of RHONJ every Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST.
