It’s hard to believe that we’re only a few episodes into season five of Teen Wolf. It seems like only yesterday that we were speculating over what was in store for our favorite Beacon Hills crowd. (Maybe because we were.)

But there’s a lot of exciting news to come out of San Diego Comic-Con so far — and some of it was just revealed! During their yearly SDCC panel, we got confirmation from creator Jeff Davis that Teen Wolf will be coming back for another season — its sixth, to be exact.

This is pretty impressive considering that we’re barely into season five and MTV is already choosing to renew. Making it to five seasons alone would have been pretty neat, but six? That’s piling awesome on top of even more awesome.

According to Cinema BlendTeen Wolf has been dipping slightly in the ratings but still pulls in a solid viewership for MTV — about 1.5 million peeps or so.

While we know season six is coming, we don’t know how many episodes there will be yet. If it’s anything like the ones that came before, we’re likely going to get one season split into two halves with a small break in between – or about 20 episodes total.

In addition to that tidbit of news, Davis also revealed the new trailer for the second half of season five, giving fans a sneak peek at everything that’s still to come — including lots of jump scares, terrifying masks and emotional pain. Check out the video below for a little preview of season 5B!
