Grab a tissue, because the new 'Insurgent' clip gets super emotional
There’s less than month to go until Insurgent is in theaters, and we’re literally chewing our nails off in anticipation. We’ve watched (and rewatched) the teaser trailers more times than we can count.. A brand new clip for the Divergent follow-up was just posted online — and this one is definitely worthy of binge-watching.
This time, fans will get to see a more emotional scene, which reminds us just why we love this saga so much. Seriously, the connection between Tris and Four is such a huge part of the story’s awesomeness, and it doesn’t look like Insurgent is going disappoint in that department.
In this clip, Four and Tris (played by the oh-so-talented Theo James and Shailene Woodley, respectively), make some serious on-screen magic. Four begs Tris to stay, while telling her how important she really is:
“You know I’m just one person?…I’m not worth it,” Tris says, totally shaken.
Four, in totally hot/sensitive/awesome Four form, replies: “No, you are worth it. You are worth it to me.”
Tris says that she should leave, but Four is adamant about her staying. “You have to promise me that you’re not gonna leave. I want you to promise me that you won’t go.”
The scene ends with Tris grabbing Four’s face, tears almost exploding from her eyes. Do you need a tissue yet?
Awesome scene aside, some fans have expressed worry over the film’s loyalty to the book, an issue common to book lovers who expect their movie versions to just stick to the story line. But the trilogy’s author Veronica Roth basically shut those worries down:
“I know that some of you are probably apprehensive because as the trailers have revealed, there are a few clear differences between the book and the movie,” Veronica told Hypable. “I shared that apprehension walking into the screening room, but I walked out of the movie relieved — and excited.”
