They say that you should “never meet your heroes,” but what if you could EAT them?! OK, that came out wrong, let me back up. Imagine a scenario where your favorite characters of all time came to life in miniature form, and they were not only ridiculously realistic looking, but also completely edible. That’s the exact hole in your life that Fernanda Arbarca’s cake creations of animated characters will finally fill forever. Like, I didn’t know how much I needed this to exist until just now, and it is all I can do not to ditch my computer, get on a plane and run to the bakery in L.A. where she makes these stat.

It totally makes sense that Fernanda is able to capture these characters with almost eerie perfection, because it turns out she works as an surface artist for DreamWorks’ animation team. Designing cakes and cupcakes is a hobby of hers, so she draws her inspiration for her desserts from the characters she works with every day. And it turns out this was a long time coming: She spent most of her childhood doodling all of her favorite Disney and cartoon characters, not knowing then that she would eventually grow into turning them into three-dimensional, ridiculously lifelike, delicious cakes.

Fernanda Abarca Cakes was first launched in 2013, and already her remarkable cakes have risen to Facebook fame and attracted the attention of major publications around the world. What’s more is that all of her creations are baked onsite from scratch. I hesitate to even link you guys to the flavor selection page, because now I’m salivating into my keyboard over the “Love Of Oreos” flavor and I’ll probably never recover until I get some. I honestly think that Oreos is the only flavor you’d ever want Toothless the dragon to taste like, but you can take a look at some of her impressive portfolio of characters and decide for yourself:
